Feast Or Famine

Just like the indicators suggested after yesterday's crash, we were very oversold and due for a bounce and that's exactly what happened today.

S&P 500

After seeing the worst day in 21 years yesterday, the S&P 500 posted its best day in six years today. Talk about feast or famine. It's enough to drive anyone crazy unless your time frame is only a few hours to just one trading day. News that the bailout deal was back on track along with key changes coming to mark-to-market accounting and increased FDIC insurance was enough to inspire some positive action. Volume was lower, but a gain is still a gain.

If anything we probably should expect more of the same kind of jumpy action as we start the fourth and final quarter of the year. At least we won't be bored around here. See you tomorrow!
