Happy Father's Day
A much better day overall. We were due and the market delivered.

For the week just ended, the Dow gained +0.80% while the S&P 500 declined -0.05%, Nasdaq -0.81%, and the Russell 2000 -0.91%. A bounce from oversold conditions clearly helped.
We have yet another options expiration week ahead and this one should be an interesting one. Among the closely monitored data points will be earnings from Goldman Sachs (GS), Morgan Stanley (MS), & Fedex (FDX) along with reports on wholesale inflation and housing.
Finally, this weekend is father's day and I want to take a moment to wish all of the fathers out there a happy weekend. I lost my father nine years ago this month to diabetes and I miss and think about him every day. Although I have wonderful memories of the time we spent and the lessons he taught me, there's nothing that beats dear old Dad.

So, whether you're a father, son, or daughter - enjoy the weekend and relish the time you share with each as much as you can. Life is short and, in the end, that is all that truly matters. Happy Father's Day!
