This will be more helpful to some of you than others, but here are the ticker symbols of all of the companies scheduled to report earnings this week:
ABT, ACO, ADT, ADTN, ALTR, AM, AMB, AMD, AMFI, AMR, AMTD, AOS, APH, ARNA, ASML, ASPM, ATR, AVCT, BAX, BBT, BGG, BHP, BK, BKRS, BKUNA, BLK, BMI, BPOP, BRLC, C, CAL, CAO, CAT, CAVM, CBSH, CBST, CCK, CHB, CHINA, CHKP, CIT, CMA, CNW, COF, CPSS, CSX, CTCT, CX, CY, CYBS, CYN, CYT, DHR, DOX, DSL, DTLK, EBAY, ECOL, EDU, ELS, ESLR, ETFC, ETN, EXPO, FCF, FCS, FHN, FII, FNB, FRPT, FRX, GILD, GKK, GMTN, GOOG, GPC, GRRF, GWW, HCSG, HIFN, HNI, HOG, HON, HTLD, IART, IBM, ICUI, IGT, IIIN, INFA, INFY, INPC, INSW, INTC, ISIL, ISRG, ITW, JBHT, JCI, JNJ, JPM, JRC, KEY, KKD, KMP, KNL, KNX, KO, LAKE, LCRY, LEG, LGBT, LHO, LLTC, LSTR, LUFK, LUV, MAN, MAR, MBT, MCGC, MEG, MELI, MER, MGI, MHK, MI, MLAN, MMR, MSW, MTB, MTG, MTOX, MYT, NINE, NITE, NOK, NTRS, NUE, NVR, NYT, ORB, OSI, PAY, PFE, PGI, PHG, PII, PJC, PLCM, PMCS, PNC, PNFP, PPG, PRSP, PXG, QMED, RF, RLI, RLRN, RMBS, RPFG, RS, RSTO, RUSHA, RVI, RX, SCHW, SGP, SHW, SLB, SLM, SMLC, SMSC, SNBC, SNDK, SOAP, SON, SORC, SOV, SPNC, SPSN, SPWR, SRDX, SSW, STJ, STLY, STRT, STT, STX, SVU, SXCI, SYK, TER, TMA, TPX, TTEC, TXT, UFPI, USAK, USB, UTEK, UTX, VASC, VIVO, VRSO, WB, WCG, WERN, WFC, WIT, WL, WM, WSO, WWW, XRX, ZIGO, ZION
In preparation for earnings, I like to use this ticker list to run a number of scans on, including all of the following: relative performance from key lows (like back in January and March), overall relative strength, which companies have the largest earnings increases over the past month, quarter, and year, valuation scans, and so on.
At the end of the week I will then see how these stocks performed following their earnings. This helps me identify new ideas and to be able to spot some early earnings trends (like the companies and sectors which tend to reward investors following their reports versus those that do not). It also goes without saying that I focus a lot of time on companies that currently show up in my screens and I try to find time to listen to the conference call on those companies as well.
All in all, it is going to be a busy week.
