Memorial Holiday
Good morning. Following inflation data that was in-line with expectations, premarket futures are indicating a positive open on hope that the bounce will continue. Overseas markets, including in Asia, are up significantly higher and are in full bounce mode following the rebound we've seen over the past two days.
Stocks trading higher in premarket trading include CBST, CROX, LVS, SKIL, JNPR, CELG, SCHW, SGMO, BOBJ, CHS, EZM, GM, TIE, BIDU, REDF, RATE, and NXG. Premarket losers are PEIX, CMOS, UEPS, C, LU, MGPI, ANDE, XMSR, TRFC, and NT.
The Friday before Memorial Day tends to be one of the lightest trading days of the year and I suspect this one will be no different. Investors tend to hold off until after the holiday to make their move. In fact, historically the days that follow Memorial Day tend to produce relatively large scale market moves so we have that to look forward to after we return. :)
Between packing for my weekend trip, washing the car, going to the post office and running various errands, I'll be in and out all day long. I hope everyone has a great holiday and safe travels. See you on Tuesday!
