Value Investing in Cable Stocks

comcastI know from reading your email that many of you want long-term investment ideas. Here is a idea - take a look at some of the cable stocks. As someone who pays Comcast (CMCSA) well over $100 a month for digital cable and broadband internet, I can't fathom why the stock is trading near its 52-week lows. Sure, there are fundamental concerns present due to new competition, but like Paul R. La Monica at CNN Money writes, I also think those fears are likely overblown. What are my favorites? They include Comcast (CMCSA), Shaw (SJR), and Charter (CHTR) - I'm looking at all three currently for potential long-term buys.
